INGREDIENTS
A vegetable of your choice: 1 cup of either broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, zucchini (courgette), pumpkin and sweet potato – all are all very suitable.

METHOD
1. Place 1 cup of chopped vegetable into a steamer over plenty of boiling water.

2. Steam until the vegetable is soft. Carrot, sweet potato or pumpkin will take longer than broccoli, zucchini or cauliflower.

3. Put the vegetable into a medium/large bowl and use a stick blender to make a smooth puree, or mash well with a fork for more texture.

4. Add boiled water to get the consistency required.
