INGREDIENTS
1 small apple
½ a ripe banana
¼ cup of quinoa
½ cup of water
1 tablespoon of raisins
A small pinch of cinnamon

METHOD
1. Peel the apple, cut out the core, and dice the flesh finely.
2. Peel and mash the ½ banana.

3. Pour the water into a small saucepan (with a lid) and bring to the boil over medium heat, then stir in the quinoa and bring back to the boil.

4. Reduce the heat to low, put the lid on the pan, and simmer gently for 5 minutes.

5. Add in the apple and raisins and simmer for a further 5 to 10 minutes – checking frequently – until the water has been absorbed.

6. Turn off the heat, cool a little, then stir in the mashed banana and cinnamon.

7. Use a stick blender to make a smooth puree, adding a little fresh breast milk or formula if necessary.
